Welcome to the South Wedge Neighborhood
Community activism and diversity have infused the character of the South Wedge neighborhood from its very inception in 1824, and this spirit continues in one of Rochester’s most diverse and vibrant neighborhoods.
Our Favorite Restaurants and Bars
Orbs Restaurant and Bar
Upscale dining meets causal and friendly atmosphere. Food sources as organically and locally as possible. Seasonal food and cocktail menus. 'Let's have a ball!'
Boulder Coffee Company
Rochester's premiere coffee house + music venue. Boulder's hip, relaxed atmosphere is the perfect place to enjoy our direct-flame roasted coffee + espresso. Grab a delicious panini sandwich or a fresh local pastry. Join us in the evening for a warming coffee cocktail, or watch a local band play on our stage. Love open mic nights? Boulder's were voted the best in Rochester. Location also plays host to the South Wedge Farmers Market and Boulder Fest music Festival.
Solara Wine Bar
It is their passion to offer wines that have a personality, a story, and a sense of place.
Tap & Mallet
They aim to be the best destination in Rochester for beer and pub food. They believe that having the best beer requires a balance between freshness and selection. They chose to limit their draft lines to 30 with the addition of 1 cask ale so that a fresh glass of beer can be guaranteed every time. The majority of their lines rotate so that there is always something new to try. Their inspiration for the menu comes from a love for food prepared from top quality fresh ingredients.
Harry G's NY Deli & Café
Casual atmosphere, wireless internet, awesome breakfast sandwiches, take-out or dine-in. Choose from authentic NYC pastrami, corned beef and salamis as well as Thumann's meats. Rochester's best breads and a wide selection of sides, salads, homemade soups and drinks. They make everything to order, sell meat by the pound and also feature homemade desserts and bakery items.

Apothicaire Bath Body & Home
Apothicaire-Rochester began as an antique and new bathroom fixture shop, and began as Historic Houseparts, which was established in 1980. Historic Houseparts is a shop that specializes in architectural salvage and restoration supplies, offering everything for the old (or new) house from hardware to stained glass; our line of restoration products began to include natural cleaning products, which people loved, and so we kept adding more.
